Job DescriptionThis role combines a Data Engineer and a Power BI Developer. If you have analytical skills and love to organize data to present it in an easy-to-understand fashion, then this would be a great opportunity for you. The data we process and the reports we build aim to provide meaningful data about how our R&D organization works. We're looking for engineers with experience creating various data models and reports using Microsoft Fabric, SQL native queries, Snowflake, Power BI, Excel, and Power Query. As Dynatrace grows, we have more and more needs for various analytics based on our R&D organizational data. The data that we process and the reports we build help us to inspect our past and current investments and help to explore and better steer our current and future investments. You'll be part of a team that develops reports that help to understand how much time we spend on product features, maintenance, and administration. We also dive into headcount data to understand how many people of different roles are engaged in particular areas. We also support R&D budgeting processes, expense reports, and headcount tracking; the areas are still expanding with other R&D operational topics.
Responsibilities:
- You will work on creating and maintaining reports Power BI
- You will create data models in Microsoft Fabric and Snowflake
- For some processes, you'll use Excel with Power Query
- You will cooperate with another team on data ingestion from Jira and HR systems, taking care of data consistency, and security
- You will cooperate with our Jira experts to ensure an aligned data structure from Jira is provided
- You will cooperate with various stakeholders from the Office of Technology and Product, People Operations, Program and Product Management, and Product Teams.
Priority skills & experience
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer, Power BI Developer, Data Analysts, or a software engineer
- 2+ years experience in data processing and analysis
- Good Knowledge of Power BI
- Practical knowledge of SQL
- Analytical, result-oriented, and structured way of working
- Attention to detail to get high-quality data
- Proactive person
- Excellent English communication skills
Desired skills & experience
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Snowflake
- Excel and Power Query knowledge
- Very good data modeling knowledge
- Experience in building reporting solutions
- Experience in building reliable processing data pipelines

Compensation and rewards

- Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € 56,000 gross per year based on full-time employment. We offer a higher salary in line with qualifications and experience.
